Wellness
Wellness is about taking control of your health by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
What Is Wellness Care?
Wellness care means being proactive with your health instead of waiting for crisis to happen. Many of our patients choose to maintain wellness care plans as a regular means of staying healthy. You may liken this going to the gym on a regular basis, eating healthy, or regularly scheduled dental appointments.
At Chronic Conditions Center, we offer a wide of array of wellness options, including Chiropractic care, nutritional counseling, vitamin supplementation, weight loss and other maintenance level treatments.
Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.) – often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians – practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury. Tissue injury can be caused by a single traumatic event, such as improper lifting of a heavy object, or through repetitive stresses, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor spinal posture for an extended period of time. In either case, injured tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for the sufferer.
Manipulation, or adjustment of the affected joint and tissues, restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal. In many cases, such as lower back pain, chiropractic care may be the primary method of treatment. When other medical conditions exist, chiropractic care may complement or support medical treatment by relieving the musculoskeletal aspects associated with the condition.
Doctors of chiropractic may assess patients through clinical examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging and other diagnostic interventions to determine when chiropractic treatment is appropriate or when it is not appropriate. Chiropractors will readily refer patients to the appropriate health care provider when chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient’s condition, or the condition warrants co-management in conjunction with other members of the health care team… The American Chiropractic Association.
Nutrition, Supplements, and Weight Loss
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
With so many dietary options present in the world today, it can be confusing as to what would be the best eating plan. We have been assisting patients with guidance on the best dietary options for them for over 2 decades.
SUPPLEMENTS
We carry a wide range of vitamins and supplements to assist with health maintenance. The problem with most store-bought supplements, is that they contain numerous toxic excipients and/or chemical preservatives. To make matters worse, most store-bought supplements only provide about a 5-10% yield, meaning that they are not really doing much to improve or maintain your health. At Chronic Conditions Center, we only carry product lines that do not contain excipients or chemicals and do actually provide significant health benefits.
Weight Loss
Weight loss can be very complicated and tricky. What may have worked at one point in your life may not work now. Additionally, as we age, we may have developed other health challenges such as Diabetes, Thyroid issues or other obstacles to losing weight. At Chronic Conditions Center, we take an individualized approach to each weight loss patient to determine the best path for you. This begins with a thorough metabolic analysis and consultation to uncover your weight loss goals and health challenges. We will then put you on a plan to help you achieve your ideal weight.

The Maintenance Plans
Many of our patients will choose to go on maintenance plans once we have returned them to an optimal level of health or function. This might include periodic treatments with: Cold laser therapy, Spinal decompression, Pulsewave therapy, PRP injections, Supplements, Connective Tissue Supplementation, Trigenics therapy, Bloodwork, or Nutritional counseling.
When a patient nears the end of their initial treatment plan, we can discuss maintenance options to see what would be their best options.
